Error Resolution

In case of errors or questions about your electronic transfers, please call (706) 226-5377, or write us at First Bank of Dalton, Attn: EFT Error Notification, P.O. Box 459, Dalton, GA 30722-0459. You should contact us as soon as you can if you think your statement or receipt is wrong or if you need more information about a transfer or receipt. We must hear from you no later than sixty (60) days after we send the FIRST statement on which the problem or error appeared. Do not contact the bank via our e-mail address for such notification. Doing so will not preserve your rights.

To report a lost or stolen Visa check card or ATM card during non-banking hours, please call 1-800-500-1044.  To report a lost or stolen Visa credit card call 1-800-423-7503.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.
